Looking for a Deira Veterinary Clinic? We Are Across the Creek in Al Quoz 3, Dubai
Our clinic is not in Deira. It is at The Curve Building in Al Quoz 3 — across the Creek, then a straight run down Sheikh Zayed Road. For routine care, a licensed vet can come to your building instead.
Petbook is not a Deira veterinary clinic. We are at The Curve Building, Shop G08, Al Quoz 3 — the far side of the Creek from Naif, Al Rigga and Hor Al Anz. Worth knowing before the carrier is in the car. From Deira the journey starts with choosing the crossing that is clear.
The drive ends at a whole clinic and not a consult room. Four licensed veterinarians work alongside an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray and ultrasound, an operating theatre and a pharmacy, so a sick animal is examined, tested and treated at one address. A consultation at our Al Quoz clinic is AED 120 — book a visit first.
If the road itself is the obstacle — a cat that fights the carrier, a day with no gap in it — a home visit covers routine care at your address, quoted by area before anyone sets off. If something is badly wrong tonight, do neither: the emergency line is answered 24/7 — call before you set off.
The Curve Building, Shop G08, on Sheikh Zayed Road itself — with free parking around the building, which is not a small thing coming from Deira.
One address finishes the case
In-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, operating theatre and pharmacy, so most next steps happen at the same address rather than a second one.
A vet at your Deira address
Check-ups, vaccinations, parasite treatment and blood sampling at home. The call-out fee depends on the area, so it is quoted on WhatsApp first.
Emergency line answered 24/7
Ring +971 54 888 3686 before you set off, so we know what is coming and can tell you where to go.

I highly recommend this veterinary clinic! They truly care about pets as if they were their own babies. Every time my cats have been sick, the team has always followed up to check on their recovery & see if they needed anything else. That level of care & compassion means so much to me 🤍

I had a wonderful experience at Petbook Veterinary Clinic in Al Quoz with my 9-month-old male Turkish Angora cat, Meiko. A special thank you to Dr. Emad and Miss Charrie for their excellent care, kindness, patience, and professionalism.

I had all three of my cats vaccinated at this clinic, and I couldn't be happier with the service. The veterinarians and staff were very professional, gentle, and caring with my cats, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
The same consultation fee for cats and dogs, kittens and seniors — with a written quote before anything is booked.
A consultation is AED 120. The annual vaccination package is AED 199, grooming starts from AED 69, and boarding is AED 60 a night for cats and dogs alike. A home visit to Deira is quoted before anyone sets off — message us on WhatsApp for a same-day quote — and the rest of what we publish sits on the vet prices page, where you can read it before you decide to cross.
Where it starts
Where it starts
Consultation
Where a first visit from Deira begins.
120AED
A head-to-tail examination by a licensed vet
Heart and chest listened to; ears, eyes, mouth and coat checked
The first route needs a car and a decision about the Creek. The second needs a phone and nothing else.
Step 01
Choose the crossing before you load the carrier
Al Maktoum Bridge, Al Shindagha Tunnel or Infinity Bridge — check which one is clear while the cat is still indoors.
Step 02
Then Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Quoz 3
Past the water it is a straight run to the Al Quoz 3 exit. The Curve Building, Shop G08, sits on Sheikh Zayed Road with free parking around it.
Step 03
The examination first, then whatever it asks for
The vet examines before anything is ordered, and the examination decides whether bloods, an X-ray or an ultrasound are needed at all.
Step 04
The laboratory is in the same building
Blood, urine and stool are run on our own bench and the imaging room is down the same corridor, so the next step does not need a second address.
Step 05
Or send a message and stay where you are
WhatsApp +971 54 888 3686 with your part of Deira — Naif, Al Rigga, Hor Al Anz, Abu Hail — and what your pet needs. We confirm the slot and quote the call-out before anyone sets off.
Step 06
What the home visit covers, and what it does not
At your address: examination, vaccinations, parasite treatment and blood or urine collection. Not at your address: X-ray, ultrasound, surgery — samples ride back with the vet and the result is discussed with you once it is read.
The clinic at the other end of the crossing
The Curve Building as it actually is — our own photographs of clients and their pets, not a stock library.
A cat taken in off a Deira stairwell arrives with no history at all: no vaccine dates, no parasite record, sometimes no way to place its age within two years. If you have taken in a cat from a street colony nearby, the first appointment is a starting point rather than a check-up, and it is better done in the first week than after it has met the cat you already have.
Examination, ear mites, fleas and ticks, and a stool check — what a first appointment covers when there is no history at all
Eye discharge and cat flu spread quickly in a colony and are worth catching early
The AED 199 first vaccination package includes the microchip and the passport
Deira is the oldest dense part of the city: older blocks, no gardens, and the Creek between it and Al Quoz 3.
Walk-up blocks, open stairwells
Older Deira blocks have small balconies, and screening is not standard. A cat gets out onto a ledge four floors up, and the fall lands on concrete.
Street colonies by the souks
Cats taken in from the street colonies around the fish market, Al Ras and the souk alleyways can arrive with fleas, ear mites and no vaccination history.
Creek humidity, not only heat
Deira sits on the water, so summer nights stay humid as well as hot, and flat-faced cats and dogs struggle in humid weather, not only in heat.
Pavement walks, not garden walks
Without a garden, the walk happens on paving that holds the day's heat for hours after sunset — walk late, and put a hand on the ground before a paw goes on it.
The Creek decides the journey
Which crossing is clear settles the arrival time more than the distance.
Why one address matters more from Deira
Bloods, imaging and theatre are in the same building, so the next step does not need a second address.
Timing
When the crossing from Deira earns itself
Preventive care is tied to an age or a season rather than a symptom, so the visit can be booked at a time that suits the traffic.
Within days of taking a cat in — examination, parasite treatment and a plan, before it meets the animals already in the flat
Kittens and puppies — the AED 199 first vaccination package covers the examination, first vaccine, deworming, microchip and passport
Once a year, at any age — the AED 199 annual package, and the appointment where a heart murmur or a rotten tooth is first heard
Before May — parasite cover and a weight check ahead of the humid months, indoor cats included
Not a case for a home visit
When not to wait, and not to message
In an emergency the home visit is not an option: the oxygen, the drugs and the theatre are all at Al Quoz 3. Ring +971 54 888 3686 as you set off — the line is answered 24/7 and you will be told where to go.
Collapse, a seizure, or an animal that will not get up off the floor
Open-mouthed or noisy breathing — worse on a humid Creek night, and worst in flat-faced cats and dogs
A tom cat going to the litter tray again and again and producing nothing — call the line, do not wait
A fall from an unscreened balcony or a stairwell ledge — the landing in old Deira is concrete, not sand
Heavy panting, drooling or unsteadiness after time outdoors — do not wait for the road to clear, call as you set off
A puncture or a swelling after a fight with a street cat, or anything swallowed that should not have been — rat bait, chocolate, a fish bone
At Petbook a consultation is AED 120, and that is where a first visit begins: a full examination with a licensed vet, a written plan, and a quote before anything is booked. Vaccination packages are AED 199, grooming starts from AED 69 and boarding is AED 60 a night. When you compare clinics, ask what the tests a sick animal may need would cost, not only the consultation — what moves the total is whether those tests happen in the same building or somewhere else.
What is the best vet in Dubai?
No clinic should be believed answering that about itself. Petbook rates 4.7 from 446 Google reviews. The useful test from Deira is narrower than the word best: how much of a case can one address finish? Ask whether bloods are run on the premises or couriered to a partner laboratory, ask who picks up the phone at nine on a Friday night, and ask for the estimate in writing. Bloods, imaging and theatre in the same building are what save a second crossing of the Creek.
What does a vet do for a dog with heat stroke?
Heatstroke is an emergency, and the sooner it is treated the better the odds. It needs a vet rather than home care: the heat can damage kidneys, clotting and the gut, and that damage can appear after the temperature has come down, which is why the vet decides whether the animal stays in. Get the animal out of the sun and call +971 54 888 3686 on the way. Our heat stroke page explains why it is an emergency. Panting that will not settle after time outside is a drive-in, not a phone call.
How much does a pet sitter cost in Dubai?
We are not a sitting service, so we cannot quote one. What we can quote is boarding at the clinic: AED 60 a night for cats and dogs alike, the same price whatever the size, for a pet that does not need medication or daily veterinary monitoring. The animal stays inside a working clinic rather than a separate pet hotel, and is looked over by the veterinary team during clinic hours. Boarding that needs medication or observation is quoted separately on WhatsApp.
How much does a flea and tick treatment cost?
Flea and tick treatment is not on our published list, because the product depends on species, weight and whatever else the animal is being treated for — message us on WhatsApp for a same-day quote and we will price it against your pet rather than in general. What is worth knowing in Deira is that this is not a once-a-year problem: fleas and ticks are a year-round issue in Dubai, and an indoor cat can still be exposed on a shared stairwell. Deworming is already included in the AED 199 first vaccination package and in the AED 199 annual package; the external parasite plan is set at the consultation.
